New Dodge Charger Scat Pack Gets a Twin-Turbo Six-Cylinder Engine
Dodge's new Charger Scat Pack uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine called the SIXPACK, according to Road & Track.

Dodge has introduced a new engine for the Charger Scat Pack, according to Road & Track. The car uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine called the SIXPACK.
The SIXPACK comes in two versions. The High Output (HO) trim produces up to 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. The SO trim produces 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. Horsepower is a measure of engine power, and torque is a measure of turning force.
The engine uses high-flow 54mm Garrett twin turbochargers. A turbocharger is a device that pushes more air into an engine to help it make more power. The HO variant is calibrated to allow up to 30 psi of boost, which is the pressure of the air being pushed into the engine. The engine is tuned to deliver peak torque starting at 2,500 rpm, meaning it reaches its strongest turning force at 2,500 revolutions per minute.
The Charger Scat Pack also has four-wheel independent suspension, which means each wheel can move up and down on its own. The front suspension uses multilink units with forged aluminum connectors. The rear suspension uses an integral link setup. The car has a widebody design that allows a range of wheel and tire packages.
The Charger Scat Pack can drift in RWD (rear-wheel drive) mode, which is accessed at the push of a button.
Dodge held the Direct Connection Grudge Match at a Roadkill Nights event. Eight online and influencer automotive builders each received a 550-horsepower Charger Scat Pack for the competition. A modified HO producing 1,000 horsepower won the Grudge Match. Another Grudge Match build produced 1,064 horsepower.
