To complete 'A Healer's Mercy' in Phantom Blade Zero, the player must find four lost thieves in the Crimson Forest, the second region of the game. None of the four thieves are waiting on the main path.

The quest begins when the player meets Yu'er at the Thieves' Camp. This is her third location, after the Outpost in Weeping Creek Valley. The Thieves' Camp is about halfway through the Crimson Forest, shortly after the player defeats Jing Ye, The Outlaw. Yu'er wants the player to find the four wounded men and give them her medicine.

The first thief is Li the 'Flying Rat.' To reach him, the player teleports to the Outlaw Trap bell and enters the cave to the west. Li is located just behind the blue flowers in the cave. The Crimson Forest Tunnel Crank is at the end of the nearby cave system, behind Li's location. The player must slot this crank into a stone mechanism at the Outlaw Trap bell to open a hatch.

The second thief is Zhou the 'Lean Monkey.' The player descends the ladder, turns right, and takes the path left behind the table to find him.

The third thief is Zhen the 'Slippery Eel.' To reach him, the player follows the main road northwest from the Thieves' Camp, past the Red Serpent House and the Cliff of Longing, to the Cliffside Lodge. The Thieves' Camp Dungeon Key is found on a body at the start of a tunnel in the Cliffside Lodge's basement. Zhen is found at the end of the tunnel outside.

The fourth thief is Gui the 'Night Raven.' He is found in the Thieves' Camp dungeon, on the southeast side of the camp, behind the entrance.

After the player has found all four thieves, the quest is completed by speaking with Yu'er. This rewards the player with the Calming Gourd accessory.
