Dan Ayoub Promoted to Lead Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro Digital Games
Dan Ayoub has moved into a new role overseeing several games, including Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons.

Dan Ayoub has been promoted to lead Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro Digital Games, according to PC Gamer.
Ayoub previously served as senior vice president of digital games at Wizards of the Coast. In his new role, he will oversee Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Duel Masters, and Hasbro Digital Games.
Ayoub takes over from John Hight, who left the position in July after two years. He will also oversee the sci-fi RPG (role-playing game) Exodus, which is developed by Archetype Entertainment. In addition, he will oversee Warlock: Dungeons and Dragons, developed by Invoke Studios.
Hasbro said Ayoub was selected after a search that evaluated dozens of internal and external candidates. The company also said he is the first internal candidate to be promoted into the role.
Before joining Wizards of the Coast, Ayoub worked in other parts of the games industry. He previously served as executive producer and studio head at Halo studio 343 Industries. He also spent more than a year as vice president and general manager of Certain Affinity.
Earlier this year, Hasbro recorded a $56 million non-cash impairment (a loss in the value of an asset that does not involve money leaving the company) due to canceled games.
Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks has said he views widespread generative AI (artificial intelligence that creates new text, images, or other content) use as the inevitable future.
