McDonald's Boo Buckets Return With Disney Villain Designs
The spooky treat containers are back for a limited time, this year featuring five Disney villains.

McDonald's Boo Buckets returned on October 20, according to Good Housekeeping. The buckets are available as part of a Happy Meal, and they are sold for a limited time while supplies last.
This year the Boo Buckets come in five different designs. The designs feature Disney Villains: Jafar, Scar, Ursula, Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil. Previous Boo Bucket designs featured a classic witch and ghost.
The villains are connected to other projects. The Disney Villains have a series of strategy-oriented board games (games where players plan their moves carefully) for ages 10 and up. The TV movie series The Descendants features Villain offspring, which means the children of the villains. Wicked Wonderland was released this year and focuses on the daughter of the Queen of Hearts.
Walt Disney World plans to build a Villains Land behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. According to Good Housekeeping, Villains Land will include a Maleficent roller coaster.
Not every fan was pleased with the new look. Some McDonald's fans criticized the buckets for not matching the designs they remember. The author received a Maleficent bucket and shared details about it.
The Boo Buckets do not come with lids. For comparison, Dunkin' sells a Munchkin bucket that holds 50 donut holes.
Each Boo Bucket includes a sticker sheet with a quick activity on the reverse side. The author's sticker sheet included stickers of Aurora, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather.
