Harry Kane has won the Ballon d'Or, a prize given to the best player in the world. The award was given at the London Palladium on Monday, according to BBC News.

Kane beat Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal to win the award. He is the first English player to win the Ballon d'Or since Michael Owen in 2001.

Kane is 33 years old. He has scored 91 goals for England, which makes him the team's top goalscorer. He has also played 125 times for England, a number that is joint-highest with Peter Shilton.

Kane has spent much of his career at Tottenham Hotspur, where he is the club's record scorer. He has scored 280 goals in 435 appearances for the club.

Kane had loan spells at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City. In May 2013, he was on the bench for Leicester City when they lost the Championship play-off at Watford.

Kane joined Bayern Munich in August 2023. He won the Bundesliga, the top league in German football, twice with the club. During the 2025-26 season, he scored 73 goals in 65 games for Bayern Munich and England.

Kane has never won a trophy with England.

Bayern Munich play Magdeburg in the German DFB Pokal second round on Wednesday. On Saturday evening, they play Borussia Dortmund at home.
