A big crash during the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama, drew attention on October 25, 2026. The wreck involved 15 cars and happened with five laps left in the race.
Joey Logano's Ford was one of the cars caught up in the accident. After the crash, his car slid down the frontstretch on its roof. NASCAR safety personnel rushed to his vehicle once the cars stopped.
According to Autoweek, Carson Hocevar's push on Logano turned him to the inside in the trioval. Logano then hit the outside wall head-on, and then he was hit on the driver's side. Chase Briscoe's Toyota slammed into the front of Logano's Ford, turning it upside down.
During the wreck, Logano's radios became disconnected. Logano also shared a memory of a past crash at the same track. He said he had flipped at Talladega in April 2021, when the top of the car crushed down on his head.
The race was stopped for 13 minutes and 25 seconds. This allowed Logano's car to be turned over and the track to be cleared. Logano said the wreck could not be blamed on anyone.
When the race resumed and finished, Kyle Larson won the YellaWood 500. It was his 35th NASCAR Cup Series victory. William Byron finished second. The race time was 3 hours, 7 minutes, 54 seconds, and the margin of victory was 0.041 seconds.
