Lexus is ending its TX550h+ plug-in hybrid after the 2026 model year, according to Car and Driver.

The TX is a mid-size SUV with three rows of seats. Lexus launched it in 2024. The gas-powered TX350 and the hybrid TX500h will both continue for 2027.

Sales numbers show how the models have done so far. In 2025, Lexus sold 57,346 TX units in total. Of those, 10,740 were TX500h models and 953 were TX550h+ models. The TX550h+ logged 953 sales through the third quarter of 2026.

Prices for the 2027 models have also been shared. The TX350 starts at $58,890, and the TX500h starts at $72,410. All-wheel drive on the TX350 costs $1,600 more.

The two remaining models have different engines. The TX350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four (a four-cylinder engine that uses a turbo to add power) that makes 275 horsepower. The TX500h produces a combined 366 horsepower.

Several design changes are also planned for 2027. Lexus is expanding Matador Red Mica paint to non-F Sport TX models. F Sport models can be ordered with red-painted brake calipers, which are the parts that squeeze the brake pads. The TX500h will also drop its DIRECT4 badging in favor of a simpler AWD badge.

Lexus has not said when the 2027 TX will arrive at dealerships.
